combat boot left

3D Combat Boot shaped box card

3D Combat Boot shaped box card This is a 3D combat boot made entirely from card! It is hollow for some treats! I added a bit of tissue paper inside mine to stop anything falling into the toe area. The edges are highlighted using Walnut stain distress ink, to help give it a more leathery look!   The laces are made with twine, which is threaded through eyelets. Below is a very sped up video showing the whole process of putting the boot together. It took hours of work, but it was very satisfying seeing the finished result Check back this […]

icing liquid pearls

Tuesday’s Tip – Perfect Icing!

Tuesday’s Tip – Perfect Icing! Its the day of love and romance today, I hope you’re all being thoroughly spoilt even if its being spoilt by yourself Todays tip is as follows: To create a quick and simple piped icing look around your cake cards, use liquid pearls (or similar) and dot side by side all around your cake. Once dried, it really gives the look of piped icing, which helps finish of your projects and covers up the joins between the levels. Have a wonderful Tuesday, Sam x

Tuesday’s Tip! – Using very old Fimo!

Tuesday’s Tip! – Using very old Fimo! A little while back I needed to make some penguins for a box card. Thats OK you think, yes but not when its the middle of the night (literally) and you don’t really have anything that even resembles a penguin! But then I remembered some time, many, many years ago I had purchased a Santa Claus Fimo set! I knew it had black in there, but where it was, was another question! It could of been buried any where in my pit of a workshop. So after much hunting, I finally found it! A […]
